Bootcamp entrepreneur: Samantha Logan
Wednesday, 30th June 2010

Working in Sheffield Hallam University’s Enterprise Centre on her placement year gave Business and Enterprise Management student Samantha Logan the idea for the business to take to Bootcamp.
Enterprise Society, or e-soc, provides a network of advice and support for entrepreneurial Sheffield Hallam students. Samantha and her committee plan to hold workshops on relevant topics, such as public speaking, business skills and finance and also run events where students can showcase their business ideas to potential customers and investors.
Hoping to attract sponsors to help fund the running of e-soc, Samantha is aware of the importance of her business plan. “The structure is crucial if I’m going to attract businesses to sponsor e-soc,” she says. “I think Boot Camp will be the ideal environment to hone the business plan so that I can approach potential sponsors with all the information in place.”
Samantha aims to roll out e-soc across other universities. “Students across the country would benefit from their own Enterprise Society and with my experience and the help of the experts at Bootcamp, I think I could create the perfect model.”
